2008 Draft IDEAS/ Predictions

Rey Mysterio to RAW- Now this would be the shocker surprise draft pick for RAW. Although this rumor had been going on a while back, but it’s kind of not been mentioned as of late. This would probably be the only real huge name pick RAW will get. Rey hasn’t been a part of the RAW roster so this will give him some new opponents and will give RAW probably a new demographic that this show has yet to tap into.

CM Punk to RAW- The guy needs a change of scenery and I think with Smackdown probably getting stacked, RAW would be the place for him to be. A long term fued with Jericho and down the line fueds with the Hardys, Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton could really elevate his career.

MVP to RAW-
The man has proven he has what it takes to move up to the next level. Now let’s see how he can handle the political BS on RAW. If he can survive that then he can do just about anything and maybe possibly the second ever African american world champion. Plus he’s faced everyone possible and he needs some new competition before things become stale for him.

Matt Hardy to RAW- Except for when he’s teamed up with Jeff, Matt hasn’t been on RAW since the whole Edge/Lita deal. It’s time for him to move over to RAW. Although I know Michaels Hayes probably has big plans for him I think Matt needs a change himself, plus if he and Jeff could travel together maybe Jeff can really stay focused on turning things around and not getting strike number three. Plus a fued with a heel Jericho would be quite interesting.

Natalya to RAW- This gal is one of the best female wrestlers in the company she is not a diva she is a woman and it would be disgrace for him to be a divas champion. Because to me diva means a girl who does all the pretty little pictures and poses in mens magazines. Not someone who is a great wrestler. Nattie needs to be where the in ring talent is at it’s finest and that is on RAW, unless they switch the women’s division to ECW. However, if they do bring her to RAW she can join the alliance that I think probably will be formed with DH Smith, Ted Dibiase Jr. and possibly Cody Rhodes if that storyline is going to play out the way I think it will. Every good alliance needs a good woman and I think she can pull that off. Plus if this groups mission is to do very much like the Original Hart Foundation faction was and that was to take all the championships they could get they very well could do that with this group.

Big Show to RAW- Because they haven’t really figured out how they want to use him, and with ECW soon being tagged along with RAW this would be a good way to be able to use him on two shows depending on what they might want to do with him.

Finlay to RAW- He has yet to ever have run on RAW so it’d get him fresh opponents. Plus once ECW gets hooked up with RAW he would be a great guy to have around to help out and mentor the younger talent.

Gregory Helms to RAW- You are probably thinking why? Well I know he’s out of action and I know he might not be back for quite some time if ever. But I figured if they can build an alliance in Smackdown maybe they could build an alliance on RAW. If you have Matt, Jeff, and Gregory on RAW they could for some sort of faction. It wouldn’t really ellivate Matt or Jeff because they are already at the top but it could help out Helms and maybe some others.

Shannon Moore to RAW- This would give Shannon a fresh start, plus like I said before add him to some sort of alliance with the Hardys and they could be a force, plus this would probably give Shannon the rub he really needs to be move up to at least a mid carder.

Victoria to RAW- One of the best female wrestlers in Wrestling period and the lone female veteran of the WWE. She needs to be back on a show where the other gals can actually go so she can do some things you can’t necessarily do with those who aren’t that great at wrestling.

Triple H to Smackdown - This is exactly the big shock and excitement the WWE really needs from this draft. The likeliness of this happening is very slim, but it should happen. HHH has ruled over RAW for way too long and if he was over on Smackdown maybe ratings would go back up on RAW because they wouldn’t have to listen to a long winded, thinks he’s amusing, promo ever freaking week. And why he is at it take the RAW writers with him and he can throw the Smackdown writers over to RAW. That probably would also freshen things up big time.

John Cena to Smackdown- This also will be the big shocker that I think all the little kiddies will like, that way they don’t have to stay up past their bedtime to watch him. Cena appeals to that mass audience that are more likely to watch on free tv than on pay tv. It wouldn’t be a major shocker like moving HHH but it would get quite a bit of people interested in watching Smackdown. It’d be even funnier if they moved him to ECW, but I highly doubt they’d put any of their top 5 stars on that show.

JBL to Smackdown- This is another top talent that could be moved over to Smackdown. His move over to RAW was rather flat and his fued with Jericho was blah. I’m not a big fan of JBL, because I don’t think he’s that great of a wrestler, but he is an excellent talker. And if they move MVP like I think they will they need someone who is talker to fill that void. Plus if they do move HHH over to Smackdown you’ll be sure they’ll be a JBL/HHH fued.

Umaga to Smackdown- Well this one will not be surprise if it happens because everyone is predicting this. But with Undertaker gone and not being eligble for the draft and not knowing whether when the Undertaker comes if he for sure will be coming back to Smackdown this might not be a wise move if they idea is for him to eventually fued with the Undertaker down the road. However, a new change of scenery would be good for Umaga, because he needs to get some wins against some guys he has yet to face to make him look unstoppable once again.

Chavo Guerrero to Smackdown- Like with Bam Neely to keep the familia on one show. Plus never really understood why they switched Chavo to ECW anyways.

Carlito to Smackdown (or ECW) - This one I think just about everyone agrees on. Carlito has been pushed to the backburner and his comments about top people aren’t helping. The jump would freshen up his gimmick and give him a chance to shine once again. However, if they move HHH over to Smackdown I say move Carlito to ECW, whereas ECW soon will be hooked up with RAW instead of Smackdown.

Maria to Smackdown- She has yet to be moved to another brand and I think she’d fit in well over there with that gals on Smackdown. Plus over there she’d be given a chance to look better as her skills are probably better than a lot of the gals on Smackdown.

John Morrison and The Miz to Smackdown- They are the Smackdown tag team champions so you might as well put them on that roster instead. Plus there isn’t enough time for tag team matches on ECW really.

William Regal to Smackdown- Since they fired him on RAW they might as well move him. I know he still has time on his suspension but if they move him to Smackdown they could follow through with the whole he got fired from RAW but is eligble to wrestle on Smackdown or ECW, although I doubt they’d put him over there.

Armando Estrada to Smackdown- The dude is a great manager and he and Umaga need to be back together. Plus Armando could add more people to his stable of wrestlers. Maybe like bringing up Afa Jr. to the main roster

Bam Neely to Smackdown- This way all of the familia can be on one show.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan to Smackdown- I don’t even know why he’s even on the roster so just move him for the heck of it.

The Highlanders to Smackdown- This team was pushed to the high heavens when they came into the WWE and then they just stopped. They need a change before they become extinct.

Mark Henry to ECW- With the inevitable fued with Kane coming about over the ECW title this would make sense to switch Henry over to the brand. Plus then once ECW and RAW or joined he can do a Big Show and be used on both brands. But ECW needs a bigger name to join there brand and this will certainly be the biggest name they probably will get.

Jamie Noble to ECW- Like with most people who I believe should be drafted to this brand it’s because this will give them an opportunity at least of being tv more often. Jamie can wrestle and he can talk he just needs some sort of lasting gimmick or fued or storyline to give him that push to really become a major player. By becoming a top guy in ECW he would given creditbility that maybe could eventually down the line lead him to becoming an IC or US champion.

Katie Lea and Paul Burchill to ECW- The land of extreme would be the proper place for the Burchills because I do remember watching a show on Sci Fi where there was incest. Although I know they’ve tone it down I think they both could be bigger stars on ECW than on RAW.

Trevor Murdoch to ECW- The guy is going to get buried if they don’t move him. I’d say move him over to Smackdown but this year I believe Smackdown is going to be the roster that gets stacked. Murdoch is a great heel, and if they would have used the Mickie James storyline they had going on a while back to breakup the tag team the breakup of them would have been more effective, but creative has their heads up their asses. So Murdoch needs to stay heel and go over to Smackdown where maybe they could have him fued with Kane.

Ashley to ECW- This needs to happen for the simply fact she has improved they don’t know how to really use her. Thus throw her on the show where they don’t know what to do with anybody except there top 2 guys. Plus her little punk rock chick image maybe would go over well in the land of extreme.

Charlie Haas to ECW(or Smackdown)- He really needs to be moved because he’s just being buried on RAW. The guy can really wrestler, but yes he doesn’t exude the most exciting charisma in the world. Hence why he is a real good tag team wrestler not singles, since in tag teams you can always push off the meaty stuff to your partner. Anyhow if they want to go with Haas as a singles wrestler ECW would be the place to put him. There they could focus on his wrestling and maybe have him shave off that goattee why they are at it. I think he could have some good matches Kofi Kingston. But if they want to make him a tag team wrestler put him on Smackdown and find someone who is need of tag team partner and put him with him.

Kenny Dykstra to ECW- He was on RAW got a push then he fizzled. They moved him to Smackdown he had a bit of a push and then he slowly fizzled after Victoria was no longer at his side for some strange reason. (LOL) So why not just move him over to ECW and see what he can do over there. If they’d focus more on wrestling matches and less on the talking segments this show could be really good. Plus it’d give guys who otherwise aren’t given tv time a better opportunity of slowing progressing into becoming someone with some credibility which seems to be lacking with a lot of the younger talent who are thrust into the big leagues before they really should be.

Super Crazy to ECW- Maybe he’d actually be given a chance to be one of their top talents, unlike on RAW where he rarely is ever seen or if he is he’s either the joke or the jobber. Super Crazy is funny, but he is also and exciting guy to watch when you let him do what he does best which is high flying out of control moves.

Funaki to ECW- Because he’s not doing anything on Smackdown so why not bring him over to the land of extreme for a change of pace.

Jimmy Wang Yang to ECW- With his suspension and they fact they really didn’t have anything for him to do on Smackdown since the Cruiserweight title became extinct maybe Yang could have another gimmick change and get some more TV time with some fresh opponents. I so wish they could bring Mr. Fuji back to manage him. Because if he had a kickass manager like that he could really be something big.

Jeff Hardy, His Time is Now?

Many people are discussing Jeff Hardy’s win over Triple H. Most of them are talking about how it was such a surprise, mainly due to the fact that everyone has speculated that Triple H will become WWE champion sometime soon. I also was surprised as I thought they’d have Triple H win, but I thought by doing that they would have once again buried all the momentum Jeff Hardy had to put him up in that main event level talent pool.

This wouldn’t be the first time Triple H put Jeff over. April 2001 Jeff won his first IC title from Triple H. Instead of winning with a quick pin like last night he defeated Triple H after Matt rushed in and hit Triple H with a chair. However, he ended up losing the title back to 4 days later. Will we see history repeat itself with the title shot on the line? I hope not. Let Jeff get his chance to shine in a title match to get fans enthused and buy into the fact that Jeff is and will be a main eventer. He doesn’t need to win the title, but just show that he can hang with the best.

To me and most fans Triple H always come off as put himself up on a pedestal more than helping others advance. Not that he hasn’t laid down for some guys, but eventually it somehow he turns it back around and keeps himself on top. I know there is a lack of main event level guys, but instead of burying guys to the point of no return wouldn’t it be in his best interest to help guys and improve. Doing that just puts more pressure on guys like Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker, who have come back from injury, to come back sooner and work maybe a little harder than their bodies are ready for.

I would think Triple H would now be more focused on the legacy he will have in wrestling once he hangs up the boots, than how many title reigns he has had. I remember once Shawn Michaels said he came back to do the match with Steve Austin for the WWF title because he could see big things for Steve and he wanted to be the guy to push him off to that next level. I’d think Triple H would want to do that too, and not just with one guy but quite a bunch so he can say years from now I’m the one that helped take so and so to the big time.

Jeff is a great wrestler, he’s innovative, creative and has a unique look. He isn’t the biggest wrestler and probably not the most talkative, however he always put on one hell of a show with a passion most guys wish they could have even half of. The man should be rewarded for that. It’s time for Jeff to play with the big boys, and no I’m not talking old WCW has beens. I’m talking about main event level talent. Yes Jeff had a chance to rise up before he left the WWE and he blew it. This time it’s different. This time you can tell he wants it. Just take a look in Jeff’s eyes and you can see the desire, determination and fire that wasn’t there back in 2003

Is Jeff’s time now? Not just yet, but give him some time to shine in the spotlight of the WWE championship picture and Jeff’s time will be much sooner than later.

RAW IS JERICHO AND MORE

Well Chris Jericho is back baby. Although I and the gazillions of other Jericholics are thrilled about it, it doesn't seem like the live audience at recent RAWs seem to be reacting the way they should. Maybe it's because it wasn't that big of a suprise or maybe it's because he can't have a verbal battle with Orton due to the fact Orton isn't really the best person on the mic.

Personally I think Jericho's return should have been done at Cyber Sunday due to the fact of the whole code breaking and internet codes that were used during the various videos promoting the return. It probably would have gotten a better reaction and people wouldn't have been so over the whole promos like they were when he did return. Plus I thought instead of saying he was saving us from an individual, like he did with Randy Orton, I would have much rather he just basically outed everyone much like he did when he first debuted in the WWE where he said I'm going to save the WWE from these dull boring matches and promos. Because I think if he would have done that, yes it would have pissed people off but maybe it would have lit a fire under some people's asses.

Once Jericho's fued with Orton is over I'm hoping his next fued can be with Kennedy. Because that might friends would be AWESOME. Kennedy's a mic person and we all know what Jericho can do on the mic. They both are both great wrestlers who can be technical but also can do a lot of the fast pased high flying moves. This would be a great fued to build up to Wrestlemania. But if they put them both in the Money in the Bank Match at Wrestlemania I'd be happy, although I wish I could be there to see it live.

Carlito Staying or Going?

Another great young superstar, who I feel if used properly could be big one day, status in WWE is unclear. Lately he is being used as jobber and being mocked. Maybe the guy doesn't show the passion they want him to but the guy is very talented. I say if they aren't going to use him properly and they still want to keep him move him, like they did to Shelton Benjamin, to ECW. They need guys who can work with CM Punk who are credible wrestlers. This would be a great way to add more wrestlers to ECW and maybe give it some sort or direction. I think giving Carlito a fresh start with new faces might be what he needs. I know he's sick of probably the political BS, but I think he'd much rather stay with the WWE than go to TNA in the lon run. Who cares if you get moved to ECW, if you can have great matches it shouldn't really mater.

I think ECW should be the young guy show and should be where the young guys should get to shine. I think Carlito along with guys like Shelton Benjamin, Kenny Dykstra, Jimmy Wang Yang, and other numerous guys on the roster who've been placed at the bottom of the totum pole but have lots of potential that doesn't get shown because the focus is on the big names should all be moved over to the ECW Roster. ECW roster is very small and the show gets really repetitive week after week. But if they put all the guys that they have pushed almost so far down that their credibility might get tanked and they'd probably never get over again on ECW maybe the shows ratings would go up. Guys might start learning and showing more passion for their work because they will have something to prove and opportunity to be a top guy with the smaller roster of ECW.

I for one don't want to see Carlito go, but if he does I'd totally understand. He deserves to have an opportunity to go out there and not be mocked but to be taken seriously. I don't think RAW right now is the place for him to do that however. There is just too much talent on that show right now for him to have an opportunity. If they put him on Smackdown I'm afraid they'd just do him like they are doing Kenny Dykstra. So I say move him to ECW, to help fill up the roster and give CM Punk some real competition. Then if that doesn't work out wish him well in his future endeavors, but please don't keep hanging on to him just to keep him away from TNA. That just screws him over, and that's the last thing WWE needs is more bitter former employees.

Why WWE needs Chris Jericho?

With recent injuries and other unfortunate, unforeseen events WWE really needs to go knocking on Chris Jericho's door. Chris Jericho has been on what he has called sabatical from wrestling since August 2005. Now looking at his decision , it probably was the best one he could have ever made. He got to do different projects plus, when he decides to come back his wrestling persona won't seem stale and overdone like some of the current wrestlers in the WWE. The other positive for Jericho is that all the chips on his side of the table. Because the WWE desperately needs top stars, and Jericho definately fits the bill.

Chris has always been entertaining from his mic skills to his in ring ability he has it all. Fans, especially male fans, would blow the roof off the building if Jericho returned to the WWE. Many fans do not like John Cena, I happen to be amongst them, because his in ring skills are really consist of what many call the 5 moves of doom. When that's all you got to bring to your in ring work then you can forget about having true loyal fans. Chris Jericho always brought humor, fun, and excitement to his matches. Which now of days when watching WWE matches you really don't really see.

Whether Jericho was a heel or a face he could always get a reaction out of the crowd. Like with many of my fellow Jerichoholics we deeply miss seeing Chris in the ring are begging for him to return soon before we die of Jerichoitist. My only wish if Mr. Jericho does return to the ring in the WWE is that they do not have job to John Cena once again. Chris Jericho is the Allyatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla, the human highlight reel, one bad mamma jamma, and the King of the World and needs to be treated as so with a shot at the World title possibly against Edge.

Or if that doesn't sound interesting maybe have him take the WWE title off of John Cena. What could possibly be one of the most interesting things to see if see Mr. Jericho face Mr. Kennedy, the battle of two guys who talk and wrestle, what a concept. I think match between those two would be stellar. Because we could see just if Kennedy can go mic to mic with one of the best on the mic. A great way to possible to see if it might work is have Chris come in and do a special Highlight Reel and have his guest be Mr. Kennedy. This way they can see what the fans think of their verbal sparring and plant the seeds for something futhering down the line. Because I remember when Chris first entered the WWE and he started off by getting verbal with a few superstars before actually getting in the ring. This way they could reintroduce him to fans who might not be familar with him and ease him back into the mix.

Another match I could possibly see if he came back would be against CM Punk. I just think these two would put on a show in the ring. I'm not sure about any verbal fued would work although I'm sure Jericho would come up with tons of cute names and little songs he could sing about Punk. Plus I think Punk would welcome it, because besides Money in The Bank at Mania he has yet to have a stand out match in the WWE, and I truely believe he and and Jericho could probably rock the house.

I believe not only could Jericho bring star power, but he could also help elevate others on the rosters game. Even if you lose to Jericho you can still look good. Chris Jericho is a legend and no doubt will be in the Hall of Fame one day unless something crazy happens. I'm begging you Chris please come back, I don't care if you use the Lionheart Gimmick, the Y2J gimmick or something completely different I just want you come back to the WWE and turn things upside down so we don't have to see the same three guys in the main events of ever PPV and RAW and Smackdown ever week who just really can't make me care. PLEASE CHRIS PLEASE COME BACK AND SOON !!!

WWE DRAFT PICK THOUGHTS

This was written two days after the draft.

RAW

King Booker and Sharmell- This is the best thing for Booker. He had already gone through everyone on Smackdown. There was no one else on there whom he hadn't had a match with. Booker adds more main event level talent to the brand, along with a solid diva valet/manager who knows what she is doing and cares about this business unlike so many of the valets/divas they have had around lately. The only downsize I can see about him is the fact he had already fueded with Bobby Lashley who is one of the guys they are really building up. A fued wtih Cena might not be all that great. Yes Booker might be more willing to make Cena look good, but it might insight more people to hate Cena even more than they already do.

Bobby Lashley - I guess they figured since they've already basically had him be the focus on the show they might as well move him there. I really don't care for Lashley. My honest opinion is he's been shoved down our throats too much with very bad acting and verbal skills. The guy needs a manager. Unless he turns heel and forms and alliance with Umaga and uses Estrada as his manager, or forms an alliance with Booker and has Sharmell as his manager I'm not going to buy into him as being a TOP GUY. I will admit he can do some things in the ring, but he's just god awful on the mic. They need to focus on his strengths and stop having you see his weaknesses before he becomes another John Cena, where you have people booing the hell out of him. Anyhow this will help Lashley's career I'm sure, but I don't think this adds value to show one way or another.

Snitsky - Ok this makes no sense at all. Why bring back the guy you repackaged and moved over to ECW. If they wanted to move him why didn't they move him to Smackdown where maybe some of the fans might not remember him being the toe licking freak, who eventually became a jobber. It's still fresh in my mind if not others. I think he would have been better off staying on ECW. Because now all he is going to do is a be a monster face Cena then slowly fall back into the abyss he was in before being repacked and put on ECW. Sorry Gene.

Mr. Kennedy -
This in my opinion was the best pick ever. Especially if I would still be getting the USA network. This guy can wrestle, this guy can talk, this guy has it all. HE is the next Steve Austin. Now if it wasn't for the unfortunate injury maybe he wouldn't be coming to RAW, because right now he very well could have been World Champion instead of Edge. When I say next Steve Austin I really mean it. Watch Steve Austin from his WCW days and you really might get that feeling, although I'm sure Mr. Kennedy never watched Steve Austin when he was "Stunning" Steve Austin or when he was part of one of the greatest tag team duos ever in WCW the Hollywood Blondes. The cocky Brash Attitude that isn't over abrassive, is what is in when it comes to heels that people love. right now I can think of three heels people can't get enough and that's Edge, Randy Orton, and Mr. Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy is the next big thing and I believe even though he lost the money in the bank to Edge and can no longer cash that in. He will win the Royal Rumble and He will go on to Wrestlemania and he will win either the WWE title or the World title. Place your bets now. Once Shawn Michaels returns I'd really like to see Mr. Kennedy have a little program with him, it should be a crowd pleaser if when Shawn comes back in full effect.

London and Kendrick - Another suprise that I wasn't expecting. These two are a high flying tag team that might build up the tag team division, since their really aren't any credible babyface teams on RAW. Since all the Babyface teams they've basically made look good then threw them in the toliet. Before the year is over They will be tag team champs on RAW. I can't wait to see these guys go one on one with the World's Greatest Tag Team. This is a good thing for these guys as maybe there isn't all that great of tag team competition on RAW either, but it will give them a chance to be around different wrestlers and shine bright on the A show.

Sandman - Unless they are getting ready to fire him I don't quite get this one. Does he have any friends who work on RAW? I really don't see him having too many allies over on RAW and I don't see very much for him to do on this show either. He was best suited to stick with his buddies on ECW, where occassionally they'd have some hardcore matches where he could bash his singapore cane on somebody.

Daivari - They obviously have no clue as to what they want to do with this guy. The had him as Hassan's manager but then Hassan got axed because he was found as too offensive, then he was Kahli's manager but then they decided they wanted him to wrestle so they move him to ECW, but then they decide they need more cruiserweights so they move him over to Smackdown. Now they move him back over to RAW, but what for? Are they going to put him in the IC title picture? Who knows, but they need to figure out what they want to do with him before people lose interest because this guys great at getting people riled up.

William Regal - Not to suprising to me although I'm sure this means Dave Taylor will be released soon since he apparently didn't come as a pacakage deal. IT would have been great to see even more tag teams on RAW, but oh well. Regal as great at getting crowds riled up and pissed at him. I'm guessing since he's coming alone they are putting him into the IC title mix. Santino Marella better step up his game or Regal will make him do so the hard way.

Jillian Hall - This is one I was expecting and hoping for, but not holding my breathe. This is a very good move for the women's division and very good move for Jillian. Hopefully she will seize this opportunity and grab it by the horns. She has finally moved over to the brand where the wrestling has more of focus when it comes to the women's divison. This will be her moment to shine, and shouldn't be too long before she is in women's title matches and wears the championship gold around her waste. It's about time to have another woman who can actually wrestle and has trained to become a wrestler all on her own on RAW. Plus RAW is really lacking on Heel Divas, which is why I don't get them moving Victoria but only time will tell on that one.

Smackdown

Great Kahli- Isn't he out with an injury? This man has been on all three shows within a matter of months I believe. This guy is like Giant Gonzalez and other enormous man WWE bring in to put up against to their top guys. To make it look like they are defeating and incredible undestructable monster. Well he's done his job, so what's the point in keeping him on any longer? They only thing that would have made sense would have been to keep him on RAW since Bobby Lashley is on there. Maybe that storyline of defeating the big evil guy would have been well better suited for him instead of the whole McMahon garbage. Either way the move really doesn't effect his career one way or another since there isn't really anyone who needs him to help their career at the moment on Smackdown.

Torrie Wilson- This is the best possible thing for Torrie Wilson. It's the place where she can do what she does best and that's look good. Torrie has always been better outside of the ring than it. Yes she has improved but how long has she been in this business? Long enough to have shown more improvement in the ring than she has. Torrie knows how to look good and be an excellent valet. Now hopefully they will continue to put her with Flair since he too has also move to Smackdown. What would be even better is if they brought up some new wrestler and her managed him. Even better yet let's give David Flair another chance at the wrestling busines and once again have him paired up with Torrie Wilson. Maybe under the WWE's guidance David Flair could be what everyone expected him to be over in WCW. Whoops I just jumped into a whole new person didn't I? But my point is Torrie is very nice and sweet but wrestling isn't her thing, valeting is. Any new wrestler who hooked up with Torrie, not in the physical sense, could elevate their career a couple of notches.

Chris Masters - This could be a good thing for him. Instead of being a jobber to the stars maybe, just maybe he will actually be used. Only time will tell. I however, thought he could be best used on ECW, but I guess WWE thought Smackdown would better suite him I guess. Not much to say expect, unless they don't figure out how to use him now, he might end upa jobber for life or released.

Ric Flair -
He is the man and this was a very well needed to change for the 16 time Champion. He really wasn't doing much of anything on RAW, except for enchancing the youngsters careers. However, after he would do it, then they would do nothing with those youngsters. So now Flair can finally go and be considered a top guy instead of a middle card man. This is also great for MVP, this guy has gotten to be in the ring with some of the greatest wrestlers in this business within his short tenure. Even though he'll won't be getting in the ring with the Ric Flair from the 80's he still will learn something and elevate his stardom even further. Plus the Smackdown lockeroom doesn't have any longtime veterans of the sport, except for the Undertaker and he's out of action. Having a guy like Ric Flair who is a legend in the sport, might help motivated the lockeroom even more to reach their full potential. Plus maybe JBL will tells us some Ric Flair stories during his commentary.

Kenny Dykstra- I think this is the guy who will benefit most from the draft. Having a young guy on a show that is loaded with tons of top talent, and is considered the A show, is not exactly the best show for someone who could possibly be the future of this business to start. Especially when they continually won't to focus on McMahon and his lovely favorites in Lashley and Cena. Smackdown might give him the break he is looking for. Now best thing they could do is have him immediately get in the mix of things, not tag team matches but singles matches against some of the top guys. Put him in their with Matt Hardy, Finlay, Kane, and then get him into that US title picture. Looking at the roster even maybe having a possible babyface change might help. But this is definately a good move. Because if he would have got stuck on RAW he would have been tag teaming with all sorts of individuals to the point where the potential for him to be a great singles wrestler probably would had dimished with the lack of faith put into him that he could be a top guy. Becuase there is only so many times you can get shoved into tag teams and put on heat before you become pretty sure of how you rank on the totum pole with the people who are in charge.

Hardcore Holly - He's a stiff worker, and take no BS from anybody. This is the guy they put in to make others look credible. Does it really matter they moved him back to Smackdown? No. Will this make Smackdown better? Probably not. Will it make it worse? Not likely. I'm just suprised they didn't move him over to RAW instead, since he was on Smackdown not to long ago. They'll probably put him in a program with Matt Hardy since it's looking more and more likely they are feeling more comfortable in possibly putting Hardy into their main eventers spot.

Major Brothers- Yet another new tag team for Smackdown. Well at least they have belts there. That's probably the only reason why they are on Smackdown since ECW doesn't have any tag titles. Look for them to fued with Duece and Domino since there doesn't seem to be too many babyface credible tag teams on Smackdown.

Victoria - This is a big suprise, I would have never thought they would move one of their top diva WRESTLERS over to the brand were female wrestling is a joke. However, the WWE has been using Victoria as the female jobber and also the breaking in girl, sometimes doing that literally like with Beth Phoenix. Anyhow this could maybe help out those who aren't quite their with their wrestling. But all those Smackdown divas if they get in the ring with her to wrestler they better step it up and not get lazy, because Victoria can work stiff and you don't want none of that. So SD divas get your act together, because I think Victoria is getting tired of laying down.

Eugene - He's been a joke and jobber on RAW and it's been getting old. So what do they do move him to Smackdown. Personally I would have given him a character overhaul after they shaved his head and said he had a labatomy. Hey it wouldn't be too far fetched since they want us to believe that Vince McMahon is dead. I really feel sorry for Mr. Dinsmore. It's got be really annoying playing a complete idiot all the time, and being the butt of almost everyone's jokes. A character overhaul would have been much better for him along with a change of scenenory, but without the character overhaul the change to Smackdown won't mean much.

ECW

The Boogeyman - Who cares? Really this guy isn't that good in the ring. The character maybe and interesting character, but which direction are we headed with wrestling now? Cartoonish characters or the semi real characters? I'm confused. You start to go one way and then you completely try to go back after you've already warped our mind going the opposite. If this character would have been around during Hogan and Warrior's day it would have been good but now it really doesn't mean much.

Viscera - Well he wasn't really doing anything on RAW so why not move him. However, I was really hoping they'd move Val Venis with him so they could form a tag team called the Love Machines. But I'm guessing ECW is not going to have tag titles anytime soon. The Love Machines could have been great, they could have been huge, they could have been enormous. I could go on and on about what should have been.

The Miz- Oh I called this one. However, once again I figured ECW would be getting some tag team titles. He and Shannon Moore would have been a great tag team. They could have been the punk posers team. And if Ashley would have been thrown into the mix, they would have been awesome. They would have had some the largest heat ever. People would have loved to talk shit and boo the hell out of these guys and they wouldn't have even had to really work that hard for them to do it. Personally The Miz to me is nothing but some dude who was on MTV and annoyed the holy hell out of me. Most Real World people with the exception of the first couple were basically just on the show to get noticed and get some fame. Media/Attention whores annoy me and that is exactly what The Miz is. So reality check that.

Johnny Nitro - Don't quite get and never saw this one coming. He's good and I liked him when he was trying out for I think the first or second tough enough and he didn't make it in. After that I kind of was like whatever. He's come a long way from being used at Bischoff's lackey. Nitro has got a lot of cool moves and is a former IC champ. Now it's time to see if he step it up. Maybe he will be Benoit's new project. But I can't wait to see Nitro in the mix, especially with Benoit, Punk, Cor Von, and Elijah Burke. Looks like ECW is trying to build some core players in their game and you can guarantee Nitro will be one of their top guys.

My Wrestling Bio of Sorts

I've been a wrestling fan pretty much all my life. My earliest memories of wrestling are of asking to stay up late so I could watch Saturday Night's Main Event and of watching the cartoon on Saturday mornings. To me wrestling was like the cartoons I watched on Saturdays, but instead they came to life and were real living breathing people. These were real cartoon characters and that I thought was cool and I guess was partially the reason let me watch it in the first place figuring that it was just cartoon characters so no harm could come about me watching it.

Yes I was a mark when I first watched wrestling. I believed everything was real. However, I hated most bad guys except for one at the time when I was little, that being Macho Man Randy Savage. See I had become of fan of his along with many others when he stepped up against the Honky Tonk Man and later joined forces with Hulk Hogan. But for some reason even after he turned on Hogan I stilled like and was mesemerized by the man know as Macho Man.

Then in 1990 I believe after they were done showing a video package of Ultimate Warrior beating Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 6 on Saturday Night's Main Event. I stopped watching and partially I stopped watching because they were laking on showing it and someone finally informed me it was all fake. So far all those years believing in these guys all idol worshiping was over. I totally stopped and wanted never to watch it ever again.

Thenin 1992 my neighbor and a few other guys who lived on my block had some wrestling magazines and they looked at them on the bus. I just shook my head and said you do know that stuff is fake don't you? Then I got the you are a girl you just don't understand speel. At this very time my dad's life was slowly coming to an end. So I needed something to get my mind off of that and have something to connect me with my neighbors. So I would occasionally watch Superstars and even WCW's syndicated program on Saturdays I was entertained and I really got into.

That August my father passed away and not long after that moment I thoroughly got into wrestling. I subscribed to the WWF magazine I taped Superstars every week. I'd go to circle K every Saturday and check out the latest wrestling magazine and talk to my neighbor when we'd go eat at Gambino's pizza after Superstars about what was on that week. Then I stared putting posters and pinups of all my favorite wrestlers on the wall. Then when my family would go rent movies I would rent whatever wrestling video tapes they had over and over and over. Pretty soon it got to the point where they gave us good deals on buying the videos from them.

Then in the Summer of 93 I begged and pleaded with my mom to get cable so I could watch RAW. Well my mom didn't like they whole cable idea, but satellite TV, and I'm talking the big huge dishes, she was willing to take a look out. That summer we go our satellite dish and I know had a plethara of channels to watch wrestling on. I haad MSG that had wrestling spotlight and occasionaly house shows. I had USA where I had WWF Mania, WWF RAW, WWF All American Wrestling, Then of course the occasionally Sunday Night Slam. Then I could watch Wrestling Challenge and WWF Superstars on The Colorado station affiliate on other local TV affifilates we got. But the best thing of all was now finally I could watch the Pay Per Views Live.

The first PPV we ordered was Summer Slam. One of the Original four PPVs of the WWF. This one was being Headlined with Lex Luger taking on Yokozuna for the WWF title. It was a great PPV all around, however the ending was a disapointing. What's the point in having balloons dropping down and guys from the back coming out and raising up a guy on their shoulders if he didn't win the WWF title. Seemed really really stupid to me, and back then I was only like 12 years old. Even to this day I think it was stupid. I mean if they didn't feel confident in Luger why bother even having him win the match. They could have had him just get squashed by Yokozuna.

However, even before this point once again I liked a guy who I wasn't suppose to like. Much like Randy Savage their was another guy who there was just something about him I liked and that was Shawn Michaels. At this point time they I had just gotten to he was about to get suspended for failing a drug test I believe. Anyhow a few months lately when they had the poll to vote for whether he should be reinstated I would have voted for reinstating him but it was one of those darsh gone 900 numbers and I got in trouble with those during Wrestlemania 9 back in March of 93 so I was banned from every calling WWF 900 ever again, that was partially the reason why we got the Satellite Dish.

This was also the begining of a period of change in Wrestling. Hogan went to WCW and thus the mass exodus from the WWF. However, Hogan leaving to go over to WCW meant nothing to much to me because I hated the jerk. I don't care if he was the reason wrestling became as big as it had become in the 80's I hate this guy like no other when it comes to people in wrestling. Maybe I'm just a very loyal Macho Man fan and after hearing his tirate on Hogan on Radio WWF in 94. Or Maybe I just don't think a boot and a leg drop is all that believable. Or Maybe I just think his tired routined of beating a guy up for a bit and then being beat down then hulking up and giving a guy a boot to the face and then a leg drop is all that exciting. Which probably explains why I have such a dislike for John Cena.

Anyhow moving on. I was taping every program I could I was buying PPVs, Magazines, posters and merchandise. I finally convinced my mom in the Summer of 94 to finally let me go to a live wrestling event. My mom had/has this notion that most wrestling fans are trailor park trash and low lifes. Which is sort of true. Anyhow I convinced to let go, but the catch was it wasn't going to be around here we were going to to Chicago. We were going to go to the first ever event at The United Center we were going to to to Summer Slam 94. Wow Summer Slam has seemed to be a significant impact on my life. It was the event held not long after my father died and really drilled me into wrestling. It was the first PPV I ever ordered and now it would be the first every live I event I went to.

We went to Chicago and I had a great time. I loved the excitement being their live, the sound of them slamming each other on the canvas caught me off guard. But all in all it was very exciting and fun. The crowd was into everything, including the women's match, which now of days you really can't say too much. It was great seeing the whole spetacle of the Undertaker coming back with the light show with the urn to the creepy music and lightining. MY mom still can't get over the Undertaker getting on the top rope and walking on it. To seeing the whole Hart family ringisde during the cage match between Owen and Bret. Which later led me to realize cage matches are much better being viewed on TV instead of live. Plus knowing Tatanka was going to turn but still cheering for him anyway against Lex Luger. It was a night that really got me thinking this was the coolest thing ever to watch live.

I watched and ordered every WWF PPV and I even watched every WCW Calsh of the Champions and wuite a few of the their PPVS. I just love watching wrestling. Then I believe in the fall of 94 Macho Man left WWF, and where did he end up going? WCW. That mean now I actually had to follow everything that was going on over there too. That mean I started taping WCW Saturday Night.

Then WCW wanted to go head to head and the Monday Night Wars began in abou 96 I believe. Well this left me in bit o a struggle because I had an old dish you couldn't watch more than one thing at once. But thank god for the tape delay version they showed after the live version of Nitro, but also thank god for at the time we had a USA West so then I could pick and choose who I wanted to watch first.

Now if it would have just been me watching I would have chosen RAW over Nitro, but however my neighbor always came over to watch and if he had heard about something exciting going to be happening on Nitro that's what we'd watch. However, if there was anything awesome with Macho Man he'd always win out.

It was a great time for wrestling during the wars. But me I was always loyal to RAW. I went to several RAW tapings and house shows. Went to one WCW house and a few Nitros. In fact one Nitro the main event was Hogan Vs. Savage . The match from my childhood I was finally getting to see live. Plus I was finally getting to see the Real person who should have won the match at Wrestlemania 5 win, but that's just my opinion.

Also around this time I started going to PPVs. I went to Wrestlemania 12, King of the Ring 96, Royal Rumble 97, Royal Rumble 98, Wrestlemania 2000. At many of these events we stayed at the Hotels where the wrestlers were staying so I got to meet a lot of wrestlers. I met Steve Austin, Ahmed Johnson, Triple H, British Bulldog, Ken Shamrock, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko, Kurt Angle, Test, Trish Stratus, Ivory, Al Snow, Jim Cornette, Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, and of course Shawn Michaels.

Now yes I did go to some other WWF and I think maybe one WCW PPV but I never met any wrestlers during them. Unfortunately one PPV I will never forget happened to be the last PPV one ever had. It was Over the Edge in 99. Back at KOTR 96 after the PPV Owen and Bulldog were in the hotel bar and restaraunt messing around. Owen signed something for the lady who sat with us and talked with us the whole weekend. He looked at me, and I had a Shawn Michaels shirt on so I didn't say anything at all considering all the hate you heard between Bret and Shawn backstage. But I regret not saying something and taking a picture and getting his autograph. We were in the upper deck facing the entrance way at Kemper Arena. They were showing the Blue Blazer video package and you hear his music and then all of a sudden the cape starts to drift down. Then next Owen comes down. He it's either his head or neck on the ropes and he's laying on the mat. Jerry Lawler quickly gets up and goes over to him as paramedics and other come rushing out. Owen tries to raise up, sort of like the Undertaker except he only paritall comes up and it looks like he is saying something to Jerry Lawler or just out loud to anyone. Then he's back down and Lawler holds Owen's head till paramedics begin CPR. At this point my friend is saying this is not good. I'm still in the belief that Owen can get back up, because months early from the same position I saw a guy free fall down into a cardboard box in flames and he didn't die. So I thought it was possible. Oh how wrong was I.

No one at the arena knew what was going wrong or were telling us anything. So me and my friend got up and headed to the pay phones but there were lines for them. So I managed to get to one and call my mom. She was like what happened they are saying there has been and accident. I inform mom on what I saw and the fact that no one seems to know what is going on. Well since I didn't get much more info I figure we might as well go back to our seats and watch what is left of the show. So we sit back but still can't get over what we saw. Much of the show after that seemed to really lose all interest. So I talked to my neighbor and said we aren't going to get our money back so we might as well wait till Undertaker and Steve Austin make their entrances then go get in line to buy tickets to the Smackdown taping which would be the premier episode with Jericho's debut. We do and their is already a line. Not much of a line. A lot of people out there saying he's dead he's dead, but no one has any realiable sources for me to buy it. So we get our tickets and what's crazy is we managed to have the exact amount and we were pulling out coins guy in front of us got front row we got 5 and what we though would be by the ramp but instead was opposite of the ramp, I mean we were near the ramp but not next to it so we could slapp hands with the wrestlers but on the aisle where we could go up the lower bowl. Although Edge came through that way.

I remember coming home and opening the door and my mom standing right there in the front hallway. Which is weird because she wouldn't normally wait up for me. She shook her head and said he's dead. I couldn't believe it. You get in the mine set that these guys are super human, never would I have imagined ever witness in person one die, or for that matter to witness anyones death. Now I could have sued WWF for emotional distress if I was really thinking about it. Although that was about the time people started to become sue happy for just about anything. I mean still to this day deep down inside I think I deserve something for having to have witness something so horrendous, it has been emblazened in brain. I mean a week or so after in that very same building I had my high school graduation. Instead of thinking about how wonderful it was to be graduating and all while walking down the aisle all I kept doing was looking up and trying to imagine falling all that way down, knowing that this was probably the end. Not really the greatest thoughts to be thinking about.

I mean as you can tell since I've jumped around I went to PPVs and few house shows afterwards but anytime I went that's all I could think about. Also my enthuisiasm started to dwindle. By 2001 when I left to go to California for College I kind of fell out of wrestling altogether.

Then September 11th happened. I was out all by myself in a place where I didn't know anyone and had only made a few friends. People he went to my school either knew someone on the plane or had connections to people in the world trade center. It was such a devastating time and all that seemed to be on was the news. The even freaking prempted the Simpsons, which got a lot of people mad in Southern California. We needed to have some little break something to get our minds of this tragedy and the WWE decided to go ahead with Smackdown. It was one of the few times I watched Smackdown and it was a well needed diversion to escape from all the crap that was going on in the world. For that I admired the WWE and appreciated them for actually giving us something to have some normalcy. Even if to some people wrestling is crap, at least you could get away from watching seeing the building fall over and over again. Then watch the closeup FOX NEWS had of people you could totally see, I mean so much so you probably could tell who it was, jumping out of the twin towers.

Also WWE had Tough Enough one reality show I really enjoyed. I basically showed how people became professional wrestlers. That was basically is the only wrestling program I watched weekly. But just like most reality programs I felt the first was the best and all others were just not as good or interesting. The only thing I didn't like about it was who won the women's contract. I felt that Nidia shouldn't have won Tough Enough. Yes she had an "exotic" look, but who cares. I thought Taylor was way better in the ring and was more relatable than Nidia could ever think about being. Which I guess they don't really care if you can somehow contect with the characters in wrestling anymore.

Then after I was done with college in December of 2003 I returned home and back to my old viewing habits. I watched RAW ever week but I really didn't care for anyone in particular. I mean, if Shawn Michaels on I would care but everything else would mean very little to me and mundane. I'd buy and watch the PPVS, but if Shawn Michaels hadn't returned to wrestling I probably wouldn't have stopped completely.

Then before Wrestlemania 22 one of the few things that has ever drawn me in to wrestling, women's wrestling, finally did. The creepy stalker storyline they had been Mickie James and Trish Stratus was just so out there. It wasn't like the previous stalker storylines they've had. Just something about it pulled in my interest. Plus it was the only thing that really got me psyched about Wrestlemania cause usually you get a Wrestlemania buzz weeks and weeks in advance but that year I didn't get it till like two weeks or so before it was to take place. Thus making me a huge Mickie James fan , especially after they had her actually win the title from Trish Stratus who probably shouldn't have held onto the title for as long she did during that reign, but I won't get into that now.

Since then I've gotten back into being seriously into wrestling. Getting all the magazines, looking at news websites, buying merchandise, and going to shows. I do love wrestling and I'm not afraid to admit it. Sometimes I think they are missing the boat and sticking too much on trying to return to the old way of doing things as far as storylines go, which isn't going to work after you've done things a different way for so long. Those fans who've grown and evolved just like wrestling are no longer going to buy into the old way unless it's used for people that actually they enjoy watching their in ring work. Yes, maybe they can get those fleeting fair weather fans, but those aren't the fans who are keeping you afloat when the business drops from it's peak and goes into it's valley.
